Chuck Lay, BiomedSc, D.V.M.

Dr. Chuck Lay is a 1981 graduate of Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine. He has provided veterinary services in private practice and now as a referral veterinarian in northeast Texas for 40 years. Dr. Lay has known he wanted to be a veterinarian since he was 10 years old. His original inspiration to pursue his dream to be a veterinarian was encouraged by his mother and many other people and teachers along the way. He has dedicated himself to learning and applying many surgical and endoscopic skills and procedures. His focus and dedication has been to provide exceptional care, diagnostics, medical and surgical treatments to his patients and to give his clients and patients a personal approach. Since 2001 Dr. Lay has worked on primarily referral patients from veterinary clinics that use his referral services and from pet owners seeking Layvetems services.

Dr. Lay resides outside Sulphur Springs with his wife of 44 years, Jeanne, and has a daughter he is very proud of named Mollye. He loves to spend his free time with them along with his four furry family members Bella, Lilly, Blue, and Floki. He loves outdoor activities and music, especially playing his guitar.

Dr. Lay is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and serves on the Companion Animal Committee of the TVMA. 




Jeanne Lay, B.S., M.Ed

Jeanne is the business manager for Layvetems. She is a huge animal lover and advocate for rescue animals. Jeanne was a teacher and principal for years, and after retiring took over the business management of Layvetems.

She and Chuck have been married for 44 years and her pride and joy is her daughter Mollye. Jeanne is greatly loved by her 4 dogs and has been trained very well by these 4 furry family members. Jeanne loves singing with her band, swimming in her pool, and going to Olive Garden with her mother Shirley.





Jeannie Ward, CVA II

Jeannie Ward has been a veterinary technician for 30 years and has been with Layvetems from the beginning. She is an animal lover and knew very early she wanted to work with sick and hurt animals. Her compassion and devotion is exhibited by the way she treats each of her patients and their families with a personal touch. Jeannie is dedicated to learning and training, and continuing education. She is a CVA level II certified technician working on level III. She has high level skills in several areas of veterinary medicine in particular surgery and endoscopy.

Jeannie lives in Sulphur Springs, Texas with her best friend and supporter, her mother Linda. She is allowed to live with her four furry feline family members Tyler, Punkin, Tux, and Figaro ( Fig ). She loves working in her yard with flowers, plants, and gardening. She also loves music and sings.
